Psalm 119:11 I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.
Your word I have hidden in my heart. Your word I have hidden in my heart. Your word I have hidden in my heart.
Are you the type of person who likes to study the word with a few different Bible Translations, notebooks, and other inspirational books all spread out and opened to the perfect place? I am…
Unfortunately as a Momma of 3 little boys, 5 and under I don’t know the last time that that has happened. I often get so discourage because I feel as if I am letting the father down. As a college student and pre-baby I remember having so much time to myself and sometimes often taking that for granted.
Single ladies, and those who have no children. I urge you take advantage of this time with the Lord! It’s so precious. Study like you have nothing else to do. Engrave God’s word on your heart.
I am in a season where I have to get very creative in order to get my Word in. Inevitably every time I pull my Bible out when the little ones are awake someone starts screaming, or needs momma, or must climb in my lap. So for the person like me having everything spread out, with coordinating hightlighters etc is not usually possible.
You can’t NOT read the Word. We need the Word. It is living and active. It is life it is breathe. It is food for our souls.
Psalm 119: Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.
The Word is perfect and flawless. The Word was with God and the Word was God.
When we take the time, to write God’s Word on our hearts as busy seasons in life come. Sleepless nights, when naptimes become few and far in between. Or when you start getting in a good schedule and then have another baby. When work is exhausting.
What do I do? I listen to audio A LOT! I just found out that the apple tv has a Bible App that has an audioversion. Which is awesome because now, I can have the Bible on during the day! I also have several podcasts that I listen to in the car or while I’m getting ready for the day. And who says you can’t get anything out of reading Bible Stories to your kids at bedtime?
The Word says…
John 14:26 But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative–that is, the Holy Spirit–he will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you.
He will help you to remember everything He has told you! He will cause you to remember things from the Word that you need to hear for whatever situation you are going through!
And all of God’s promises that you have put up in your storehouse will be waiting and ready to help you through!
I’m praying for you Mommas!
