I have an amazing life! Maybe not always easy, maybe the road less traveled, but boy has it been an adventure of a life time!
Throughout this website you will catch glimpses of my life. You know, the places I've been, faces I've seen and oh the lessons I have learned. Some of those from failures and some of those from triumphs. Just like you, that seems to be the way we all learn. Well, now that I've looked 40 in the eye, it's nice to look back and know that you've at least given it your all thus far. Maybe not always perfect, but I know that I have tried to live each day to fulfill God's plan for the moment.
So, here is a little about me and I invite you to click on the appropriate links throughout this site and share a little about you too. I am married to my best friend and the love of my life, Russ Adams. This year we celebrated 18 years and I can hardly believe how fast it has gone. I can remember when we were dating and we would drive to the top of this hill in Oklahoma where an old church was located. From that point you could see out over the whole city and for us that became the place where we would dream of going to the world. We were married in '92 and 'in '93 we found ourselves trekking across India. I was home! I had found my heart's passion and from that point until now, my heart loves the mission field. It's just in me! To just be able to reach out to one person with the Love of Christ, many who have never even heard His name before, well... it's the air I breath. I've often said I'm most at home in an airport. It's true, it's just one of my favorite places.
That India trek led us to Europe, South America, Africa and over 20 nations. We lived in Estonia, Spain, Thailand and the Philippines, before returning back to the U.S. in the year 2,000. By God's grace, and I give Him all the credit because it was so obviously Him helping, we've planted churches, children's homes and Bible schools. We've also hosted crusades, medical outreaches and fed the hungry. Somehow, always desiring to do more. Our passion at present is XploreNations Bible Institutes. We have 650 students in Egypt & close to 100 in Spain! Enough about that for now, but you can learn more at ramworld.org or just click the link to the left.
We waited over ten years and then Wesley and Evan were born, our precious boys. What a joy! Wes is now 9 years old and Ev is 6. They are full of life, they embrace every moment you give them and they keep our days mindful of the love of God. As you click on the motherhood link, you can see their sweet faces and we can enjoy motherhood together. One of my favorites pastimes is celebrating every occasion with them. Russ is sure I have a tradition for every holiday under the sun and he's right. I love to celebrate the holidays and often we just make up our own little parties just to have fun. You can click on "celebrate" to join us and get some new ideas or maybe even share one with us. I'll be posting ideas to celebrate as you send them my way (don't forget the pictures)
Something wonderful that God has been working into my heart is a passion to Inspire women. I think of Daisy Osborne, such an incredible women already home with the Lord. What she couldn't do on her own and she reached out to 10's of 1,000's of women around the world. My heart is to simply bring a balance of loving Him and serving with your all, yet still having enough of ourselves left to experience the joys of life the way He created. I believe in the family table and sharing meals together. I believe in making my home a haven of rest for my family. I believe in daily becoming the woman He has called me to be.
It's a great journey! We are all on one and together we can inspire each other to live life as fully as God made it to be enjoyed!
