For my family, it doesn't take a big budget simply to hop in the car and head for some new destination. In June we head to the river & in August we are off to the orchard. Our most special memories have been made when Russ piles us all in the car to show us some beautiful site he found on a prayer drive. His favorite thing is a sunset & we have enjoyed many together.
With each new season, we will post simple ways to enjoy life with your family, just like our posts for: "Pine Cone & Peanut Butter Bird Feeders" in the Summer, which was a creative idea that the boys learned from their cousins. There are so many budget friendly ways to make an unforgettable moment!
Our "Celebrating" pages are full of ways to make traditions with your families, from sugar cookies in the Winter to Easter Eggs in the Spring. Together, let's enjoy our days & make memories that last a life time!

Every family has them and, if perhaps you don't, it's never too late to start making special memories with your family this year! Below are a few of ours to share with you:
Each year when we trim the tree, we also put out our nativity, celebrating what the season is all about. This w was brought home by my father over 50 years ago... it's such a treasure
The Moravian Star is part of our family heritage, hung in the halls or on the porch to remind us of the star that rested above the manger. Christmas seemed to bein when Mom turned on the light!
Here is the cookie of Christmas to me & one of the softest ever! It's also from the Moravian church, a receipe that is too old to date... you have to give it a try! Moravian Cookies
Every year we put up a new Advent calander & we always make it a nativity... so the birth of Christ is the center. Starting on Dec 1 the boys open a door each night until Christmas Eve!
